Attack Records is a reggae label which ran originally from 1969 to 1980 as an imprint of Trojan Records. Notable artists included The Pioneers, Gregory Isaacs, I-Roy, Big Youth and The Upsetters. In 2003 it was revived by Sanctuary who then owned it, to become Morrissey's vanity label. This section lists the Attack releases under Morrissey's hand until Sanctuary was sold to Universal in 2007. In 2009, after the poor job Decca did with his "Greatest Hits" album, Morrissey signed with American label Lost Highway for the release of "Years Of Refusal", a partnership between them and Morrissey's Attack.

Quotes
In an interview published in Word magazine in January 2005, Morrissey said: "I'm going to release great records that I want to release. There's no eye on commercial success. I will not be turning into a record company exec with a sword and steel toecapped boots. I'm trying to revive something good and true about pop music. I'd like to regenerate and rejuvenate some kind of faith in the pop single. I think people are tired of investing so much of their time and faith in albums that aren't worth it."
