"I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris"|
This song must have been written shortly before or during the recording sessions for the "Years Of Refusal" album which happened in August or December 2007 at Conway Studios in Los Angeles with producer Jerry Finn. Further mixing may have been done in the spring of 2008 (the album is actually credited as having been recorded in Los Angeles in 2008; accurate info is needed). The musicians on this recording were Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Solomon Walker (bass), Matt Walker (drums) and Roger Manning Jr. (piano, keyboards), with special guest Mark Isham on trumpet.
This song has been done in concert a total of 293 times by Morrissey, which places it in the top 10 of his 'live hall of fame', a feat even more impressive considering the fact that it only dates back to 2007. Of the 265 concerts (as of late 2013) given since its live introduction in mid-July 2007, the song has not found itself on the setlist only 19 times. It was done 44 times out of the 53 shows given on the 2007-2008 Greatest Hits tour (post introduction), then 67 times out of 68 on the 2009 Tour Of Refusal, 24 times out of 26 on the 2009 Swords tour, 41 times out of 47 in 2011, every night in 2012, 14 times out of 15 shows in 2013 and every night bar two in 2014.
No demos or studio outtakes of this song have leaked to the general public at this point in time.
