"People Are The Same Everywhere"
(Morrissey/Jesse Tobias)

The song was presumably written during the year preceding its live debut in the summer of 2011. It is not known if a proper studio version was recorded by Morrissey for himself prior to the Janice Long session recorded for the BBC on 10 June 2011 and broadcast on 15 June 2011 (producer: Mark Plant). The musicians who played on the latter recording are Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Matt Walker (drums), Solomon Walker (bass) and Gustavo Manzur (keyboards, perhaps more).

This song has yet to be released in studio form otherwise than as the radio and television sessions mentioned below. It has also been released in live form (see below).

Because this radio session was the only source for this song until its official release almost two years later, it is more commonly found on the internet in bootleg form than from an official source.

"25Live", a live concert on video [bonus material]
Because of the time elapsed between the original broadcast and the inclusion as bonus material on the above release, this performance as well as the other three from the same set ("The Kid's A Looker", "Scandinavia" and "Action Is My Middle Name") and the Morrissey banter are also widely circulated on video and audio bootlegs.
The Colbert Report 9 October 2012 [tv]
This 2-song set (including "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris") as well as the Morrissey interview that preceded it are circulated on bootleg video and the audio can be found in digital format on the internet.
Nobel Peace Prize Concert 11 December 2013 [tv]
This is circulated on bootleg video and the audio can be found in digital format on the internet, alongside the two other tracks done at the same occasion: "Irish Blood, English Heart" and "Satellite Of Love".

Besides not being widely available on a Morrissey release, this song has so far been done a total of 67 times in concert by Morrissey. It was played often but never consistently since its live introduction in 2011. Morrissey sang it 31 times out of 47 concerts on the 2011 tour, 27 times out of 56 concerts on the 2012 tour, and 9 times out of the 15 dates played on the ill-fated 2013 tour.
