"Munich Air Disaster 1958" (Morrissey/Alain Whyte)
Songwriting information is unknown. The song may have been recorded alongside the material released on the "You Are The Quarry" album (that would be at Sarm Hook End in Berkshire in the autumn of 2003 and mixed at Conway Studios in Los Angeles with producer Jerry Finn, although it is generally credited as having been recorded in Los Angeles in 2004), or perhaps at a different recording session around that time.
This song has never been performed specifically for radio, television or the web.
This song was done in concert 22 times in the second half of the 2004 You Are The Quarry tour. It was introduced at the end of August and found itself on and off on the setlist until the end of that year. For its final five performances, it was done with an intro of the first few lines from the New York Dolls' "Subway Train".
No demos or studio outtakes of this song have leaked to the general public at this point in time. |
