"Pregnant For The Last Time"
(Morrissey/Mark E. Nevin)

This song must have been written near the end of 1990. It was recorded in December 1990 at Hook End Manor with producers Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley alongside other material that was meant to appear on a planned rockabilly mini-album. Those plans were shelved and most of the material was mixed and released on subsequent singles, including this song which became a single a-side. Musicians on this recording were Boz Boorer (guitar), Mark Nevin (guitar), Jonny Bridgwood (double-bass) and Andrew Paresi (drums). Alain Whyte played harmonica on initial versions of the song, but his part ended up not being used on the recording.

Top Of The Pops 8 August 1991 [tv]
This is commonly found on bootleg video compilations of Morrissey television appearances. The audio from this broadcast is not circulated on bootlegs because the performance was lipsynched.

This song was done in concert only on the 1991 Kill Uncle tour, mostly before having been released as single, or while it was charting, and rarely after. The total of confirmed performances is 24, perhaps 25 if we take into account the fact that information is missing for a few setlists that year.
