"One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell"
(Morrissey/Boz Boorer)

This song must have been written shortly before or during the recording sessions for the "Years Of Refusal" album which happened in August or December 2007 at Conway Studios in Los Angeles with producer Jerry Finn. Further mixing may have been done in the spring of 2008 (the album is actually credited as having been recorded in Los Angeles in 2008; accurate info is needed). The musicians on this recording were Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Solomon Walker (bass), Matt Walker (drums) and Roger Manning Jr. (piano, keyboards), with Kristopher Pooley on backing vocals and Mark Isham on trumpet.

This song has been done in concert a total of 184 times by Morrissey. It was introduced on stage in mid-September 2007, more than halfway into the Greatest Hits tour, and done 29 times out of its 47 remaining dates. After getting an official release on the "Years Of Refusal" album, it didn't become a regular, but was still played quite often on the Tour Of Refusal (47 performances out of 68 dates). It was on the setlist every night on the Swords Tour later that year, but did not get played on two dates that were interrupted early. It remained a part-timer on Morrissey's setlists since then, as it was done 27 times out of 47 shows given in 2011, 34 times out of 56 shows in 2012, 6 times out of 15 dates on the 2013 tour and 17 times out of 49 dates in 2014.
