"I'm Playing Easy To Get"
(Morrissey/Boz Boorer)

This song must have been written at some point in 2004. Its only confirmed studio recording is Morrissey's appearance on Janice Long's radio programme on BBC2, on 17 December 2004, with musicians Boz Boorer (guitars), Jesse Tobias (guitars), Gary Day (bass), Dean Butterworth (drums) and Michael Farrell (keyboards). "Redondo Beach", "It's Hard To Walk Tall When You're Small" and "Noise Is The Best Revenge" were also recorded on the same occasion.

A proper studio version was allegedly recorded at the end of 2004 alongside material meant to be used for b-sides on the "I Like You" single (which ended up being shelved). Other songs rumoured to have been recorded at the time are "Good Looking Man About Town" and "Noise Is The Best Revenge". The former of those two numbers has been re-recorded and released, but "I'm Playing Easy To Get" and "Noise Is The Best Revenge" are at this point in time only available as radio sessions and their studio counterparts remain unreleased.

This song has yet to be released in studio form.

Janice Long radio session 17 December 2004 {3:04}
Two songs from this radio session ("It's Hard To Walk Talk When You're Small" and "Noise Is The Best Revenge") were given an official release, but this one as well as "Redondo Beach") are only available on various manufactured bootlegs as well as in digital format on the internet.

The song has only been done once in concert, in Los Angeles on 12 November 2004. This one-off performance has never been officially released.

No demos or studio outtakes of this song have leaked to the general public at this point in time.
