"Let Me Kiss You" (Morrissey/Alain Whyte) These words are transcribed without permission the way they appear in Morrissey's "You Are The Quarry" album. Additions to the printed lyrics are in darker text while omissions are striken out. Note: This song was written by Morrissey for Nancy Sinatra and he sings backing vocals on her version for which the above lyrics and correction also apply.
There's a place in the sun1 On the second and third legs of the Greatest Hits tour in 2007 and on the 2009 Tour Of Refusal Morrissey often sang "for anyone who has the nerve to chase one". 2 Now and then in live performances of this song Morrissey adapts this line to the locality. For example: "I've zig-zagged all over Los Angeles" or "...Silverlake". On the second and third legs of the 2009 Tour Of Refusal he often usually "I've zig-zagged all over the planet". 3 Now and then on the 2009 Tour Of Refusal Morrissey sang "excuse me would you let me cry on your shoulder". 4 On the Tour Of The Tormentors MMVI Morrissey sometimes changed this line to "I heard that you'll try anyone twice". He did it occasionally on the first few legs of the tour, but by the end of 2006 and in 2007 the change was standard. On the first leg of the 2009 Tour Of Refusal it was done on most nights, but on its second and third legs it was done on and off. On the third leg he would actually sometimes take this to "just about anyone twice" or "just about anything twice".
