11 August 1986 Music Hall, Cleveland, OH There Is A Light That Never Goes OutThere were minor rearrangements in the setlist, and "Vicar In A Tutu" and "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" were replaced by "I Know It's Over" and "Hand In Glove". Also, "Money Changes Everything" returned into the set after being dropped on the previous date. Cleveland Music Hall had an orchestra pit in front of the stage where security stood, then a barrier before the audience. At one point, Morrissey addressed his fans, saying, "Sorry we can't touch, but those are the rules". As the band started playing "Bigmouth Strikes Again", Morrissey made his move, leaning far over the orchestra pit to touch hands with the people in the front row. He almost made it, but fell into the orchestra pit, where he was promptly covered by screaming fans while security tried to get him back on stage. There was one security guard on stage pulling him by his arms, and others in the pit pushing from the bottom and defending him from the crowd. At some point, Morrissey's hands slipped from the guard onstage, and down he went again. By the time they finally got him up, the song was half over, and Morrissey just ran off stage and the band ended up playing the whole thing as an instrumental. Johnny Marr was laughing hysterically the entire time! Info provided by Todd Hutlock, setlist and more information provided by Daniel Matthews.
