Northampton was treated to the only performance of "This Charming Man" on the British leg of the "Meat Is Murder" tour. It took the place of "Barbarism Begins At Home" in the setlist.

The Smiths were in great spirits and were very well received by the Northampton fans. Morrissey wasn't the most talkative. One of the few things he said to the audience was "This is about (...) in life, like education..." which served as an introduction to "The Headmaster Ritual".

Au audience recording of the full concert is supposedly available from certain bootleg traders, but this has not made it on the internet yet. However, an incomplete good quality recording of the last nine songs can be found there, albeit scarcely (recorder: Soundsville's Steve).

Do you have information about this concert? Or do you own an uncirculated recording of it? If yes please contribute and get credited.
