24 March 1985 City Hall, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne William, It Was Really Nothing"Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" returned to the setlist for the first time in some time, replacing "You've Got Everything Now" in the encore. "Handsome Devil" which was skipped the previous night was also reinstated. A surge of fans at the front of the gig saw the first three rows of seating collapse as people had been clambering over the chairs to get closer to their hero. At some point Morrissey threw his shirt into the audience to be fought over. Before "I Want The One I Can't Have", Morrissey encouraged the fans "Come on don't be afraid". He continued after the song: "Don't be afraid of the bouncers, they're outnumbered". "Shakespeare's Sister" was introduced with the words "This is our new single... which... which... which you all know stormed the chart for one week, and then stormed out for one week and then begone...".
