The setlist was the same as for the last few gigs, but lacked the final encore of "Handsome Devil". As soon as he entered stage, Morrissey asked "You're not tired already are you? (crowd: 'No!') Good..." After "I Want The One I Can't Have", the crowd broke into a chant of Morrissey's name. "Shakespeare's Sister" was introduced with the announcement "This is our new single... which... all your favourite DJs will not play... because they say it's not required...". As a matter of fact that single turned out to be - at this point in time - the band's least successful one since the band had made it big. "Meat Is Murder" was dedicated "... for everybody who came here by McDonalds".

Tickets were £5.00.

The complete concert is available on a bootleg titled "Middlesborough Town Hall 23/3/85" (recorder: Soundsville's Paul). This has also made it onto the usual file-sharing networks. An alternate audience recording of the full set is available on bootlegs from certain collectors, but this is very scarcely found on the internet at this point in time (recorder unknown). Both recordings are of average quality, as far as audience recordings go. The Soundsville recording is still the best of the two. The other one sounds slightly tinnier.
