22 March 1985 City Hall, Sheffield William, It Was Really NothingThe setlist in Sheffield was the same as the oft-bootlegged Oxford one from 4 days before. The band must have been appreciated the Smiths or vice versa because there were 3 encores. The first verse of "How Soon Is Now?" was instrumental, there must have been stage invaders keeping Morrissey away from his microphone. Morrissey was not very talkative. His most elaborate banter consisted of presenting new releases "Stretch Out And Wait" and "Shakespeare's Sister" respectively with "This is a new song called 'Stretch Out And Wait'" and "This is our new single... this is called 'Shakespeare's Sister'." Liberties were taken lyrically and musically with encores "Miserable Lie", "You've Got Everything Now" and "Handsome Devil". In the latter, Morrissey sang "I know what teeth... and I'd like to help myself" and "I know I can help you get through your exams". Finally the outro to "Barbarism Begins At Home" was slightly changed by Johnny who added funky guitar picking to it.
