11 November 1984 Savoy, Waterford, Ireland Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I WantNote: There is confusion about the dates of the first three concerts of this Irish tour. This one is usually credited as having been held on the 12th of November, but the Smiths were in Dublin that night. The fans who attended this gig saw the live debut of "What She Said" and "I Want The One I Can't Have". Both these songs would be released three months later on "Meat Is Murder". For some reason, "Barbarism Begins At Home" and the recent live addition "Rusholme Ruffians" which would also be released on that album seem to have been skipped. The venue was an all-seated theatre and two radiators and two rows of chairs were destroyed because fans stood on them. Morrisssey said to the audience "they told us not to play here". At the end of the gig he left the stage and returned for the encore swinging a large branch.
