The venue was a small one, with a small stage, and it was supposedly packed, although according to promoter Brian Foster the place was not filled and they lost money. One sure thing is that many people had traveled from Manchester to see the band and the show was a great one.

Promoter Brian Foster also says that the venue's name was actually Fernando's. It was called "The Gum Club" only on Wednesdays.

Opening band was local act Some Now Are.
