Cancelled. The Smiths were booked for Futurama 5 but they dropped at the last minute. They were rumoured to play with Flesh For Lulu at Bristol University, but that didn't happen either. The Smiths were in the studio with John Porter around this time recording the songs that would appear on their debut album.

There was a near riot (people threw bottles, etc) when the MC announced that the Smiths were not going to play. The Bay City Rollers headlined and they were bottled off. The police had to be called in to restore order.
