8 December 1997 Große Freiheit, Hamburg, Germany
Do Your Best And Don't WorryThis concert was a good one, Morrissey and the audience were both quite enthusiastic and fed off each other's energy. Security wasn't too tough, still only a few fans made it on stage. The set list was the same as for the previous concert in Finland, but it was slightly scrambled. Morrissey greeted his fans "Hello Hamburgers!". After "The Boy Racer" he stated "It's nice to see so many young and smiling faces". After "Reader Meet Author", he asked "What is going to be our next song?" which prompted many fans to shout the title of their favourite song. However Morrissey answered "nothing" and the band went into the next planned song, "The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils". At some point some fans were singing "Eric Cantona, la la la..." to the tune of Boney M's "Brown Girl In The Ring" so Morrissey enquired "What's that? 'Brown Girl In The Ring'?". When he returned to the stage after a short break to perform the encore, Morrissey said "Thank you for being so sexy... I meant myself!". During "Shoplifters Of The World Unite" he threw his shirt into the audience. After the song, he simply said "I love you" before leaving.
