10 November 2009 Lille (France). Aéronef
This Charming ManThis was a very good show. Morrissey sang very beautifully, and communicated and interacted a lot with the crowd. Some people thought that he looked tired, and he himself pointed out that he was not doing very well. The crowd was very receptive and appreciative. The sound in the Aéroney was not very good. There were no changes in the setlist. As he had been doing on most dates of this tour, Morrissey mentioned his newest compilation album "Swords" and complained about its lack of success. On this date he particularly said that the album "...has been deleted. Thank you, Universal!" He adapted a line in "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" to Lille by singing "Only stone and Lille accept my love". He received three presents and one love letter. The letter made him sigh. One of the presents was a DVD and he teased the person who had given it to him by opening the case and saying that there was no DVD inside. One fan in the audience constantly shouted "Caversham" so as he took the stage again for the encore, Morrissey acknowledged the heckler in his parting words: "Thank you France, thank you Lille and Caversham!"
