"Fantastic Bird"
(Morrissey/Alain Whyte)

This song was very likely written at some point in 1992. It was supposedly recorded as a possible b-side for the "Certain People I Know" single, which means that this may have been in October 1992 at Abbey Road Studios, alongside the latter single's definitive b-sides (confirmation needed). The musicians on this recording were Boz Boorer (guitar), Alain Whyte (guitar), Gary Day (bass) and Spencer Cobrin (drums).

This song has never been performed specifically for radio, television or the web.

This song has been performed live only 4 times by Morrissey, sporadically on-and-off the setlist on the American East Coast leg of the 2012 tour. This is not much but, considering the fact that it took 17 years for him to release the song after recording it, very few fans expected it to ever be done live. It may be speculated that the song would have been given a few more airings had Morrissey not cancelled the rest of that part of the tour.

There are no officially released live recordings of the song at this point in time.
