The Tilburg concert was a success. Morrissey and band were really into it. The crowd was rather quiet although they did break into chants of the singer's name now and then and sang along to their favourite songs. There wasn't much change in the setlist, "Now My Heart Is Full" took the place of "Roy's Keen" and the rest stayed in the same order. The latter song was actually on the setlist but was skipped.

As Morrissey walked on stage he picked up the microphone and greeted the audience with the line "Tilburg how do you do?... Boo-hoo!" After "Billy Budd" he asked "And how is life in Tilburg? (crowd cheers) Is it good? (crowd cheers) Or is it horrible? (crowd shouts 'yeah!') I think that answered the question..." After "Alma Matters" he answered a shout from the audience: "I heard what you said... I am very flattered... and you have very good eyesight..." After "Hairdresser On Fire" he answered someone else "I can't help it, that's just the way I am".

"Lost" was introduced with "This song will amuse you... I won't... it's called 'Lost'." After "Meat Is Murder" Morrissey told someone - probably sarcastically - "That was really funny..." He must not have been happy with his performance of "Reader Meet Author" because after it he said "Thank you, you have great patience..." He then introduced "November Spawned A Monster" with "This song is quite horrible... I love it..." In "Tomorrow" he changed a line to "...and if it does come, will I be silly human". After "Tomorrow" he replied to someone in the crowd shouting Johnny Marr's name: "It's alright, we know you're intelligent, you don't have to prove it...".

A generally good audience recording of the complete concert (minus the latter half of "Trouble Loves Me") is available on cd from bootleg traders and in digital format on the internet. This is sometimes seen under the title "Meat Is Murder".
