13 October 1999 E-Werk, Köln (Cologne), Germany
You're Gonna Need Someone On Your SideThis concert was another success. The crowd was very wild and energetic. Security was very tight and nobody made it on stage. However the sound in the E-Werk could have been better. Morrissey's voice was drowned under the instruments for the first half of the show. The were a few changes in the setlist. "Now My Heart Is Full", "Sunny" and "Alma Matters" were replaced by "Lost", "November Spawned A Monster" and "The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils". All of the latter had been played already on this tour, so this was no surprise. Morrissey kicked off the show by greeting his fans with "Hello, we are the English pigs!" Throughout the evening he reached out to the local audience by thanking them regularly in German (Danke schön). Somewhere in the concert he tried to tease the fans into action by asking "Do you want to go home?". He obviously received a loud negative answer to that question, which prompted him to enquire further: "...why?". At some other point he commented "I can see you are tough people!". During the encore, he threw two blue "West Ham Boys Club" shirts into the crowd.
