23 October 1997 Gotham, Tucson, AZ
The Boy RacerThe venue in Tucson was small but had great acoustics. The concert was rather uneventful, but Morrissey was in great form. The security was very strict, almost violent. Few people made it on stage until the encore. There were quite a few changes in the setlist. "Sunny" and "The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils" were replaced by "Hold On To Your Friends", "Dagenham Dave" and "Now My Heart Is Full", bringing the setlist length back to 14 songs again. Morrissey greeted the fans with "Hello Tuxson!". At one point he enquired "you are all in from Phoenix, right?". Other stage banter included "this one's off our horrible new album" or "does anyone have a comb, please?". During the encore of "Shoplifters Of The World Unite" Morrissey motioned to fans to "hand it over" and people gave or threw him some stuff of theirs.
