Morrissey was in great spirits on this night, and obviously so was the crowd, making this show one of the best on the tour. Many fans made it on stage, sometimes more than one at a time. "Now My Heart Is Full" was reintroduced into the set, replacing "Hold On To Your Friends".

In "Reader Meet Author", Morrissey went back to the usual "Have you ever escaped from a ship-wrecked life" line instead of the near-standard live change "Have you ever escaped from a Manchester life", but added a roaring "yeah" at the end. Before "Billy Budd", to someone who asked him if he was happy, he answered "yes". After "Spring-Heeled Jim", to another fan who shouted that he looked wonderful, he said "I know, I know". He wished the Bowie fans "Have a nice time with David" before going into "The National Front Disco" which starts with the name David. The show ended like the past few ones, with Morrissey tearing off his shirt and drying himself with it.
