For a third concert in a row, there were microphone problems. Morrissey had to stop singing during some numbers such as "November Spawned A Monster", "Sister I'm A Poet" or "Suedehead." In the latter case, the crowd sang the words to the song while Morrissey mimed them. As if this wasn't enough, security was very brutal. Fortunately, despite all this, Morrissey was very well received by the Detroit fans.

Morrissey's only significant banter of the evening came after "We'll Let You Know" when he complained "I'd just like to say that... I hope the sound isn't too awful from where you're standing, because from up here it's very very difficult".

A very poor audience recording of the full concert minus the first song is circulated on the internet.
