This Charming ManThis was a fantastic concert. The only thing that disappointed fans is that Morrissey barely said anything to the crowd (bar the occasional 'thank you', or 'tack' in Swedish), and barely shook any hands. But he didn't look angry or bored. He was clearly in very good spirits, looked like he was enjoying himself and gave a very tight and intense performance. The crowd was also very good, it sang loudly to almost every song, sometimes even louder than Morrissey. A few changes were made to the setlist as "All You Need Is Me" replaced "I Keep Mine Hidden" and "Best Friend On The Payroll" replaced "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell". During set opener "This Charming Man" Plopp chocolate bars were thrown on stage. This followed a tradition started many years before when Morrissey mentioned appreciating that particular brand of chocolate. The singer said nothing between the first six or seven songs. When he finally spoke he said "If there is something we can do to please you... we wont do it!" Following this, the only other thing he said were his parting words before the encore: "thank you, you've given us a great night, God bless you and... everything else...". In "Life Is A Pigsty", after the line "once again I turn to you", he shouted "who else?!". Further into the song he replaced "I can't reach you anymore" with "I can't help you anymore". The Smiths song "You Just Haven't Earned It Yet Baby" was heard at soundcheck. It was going to be debuted at the next planned date, in Stockholm.
