Additional information:
The live version of "Hand In Glove" on cd-single #1 is included because it was once broadcast on BBC Radio. It is incorrectly labelled as being from 12/12/86.

Unlike "This Charming Man" and "How Soon Is Now?", this is not really a re-release. Although it was once considered as a potential single in the UK, it was only released by Virgin in France. Information about this original 1986 French release is found here.

Cover star is Sandie Shaw, whose collaboration with the Smiths is featured on UK cd2. UK cd1 booklet includes the front photo inside, but in a brown tint. UK cd2 insert has 2 photos inside: one of the cd1 cover in pink and the one displayed in the left bar.
