Promotion:
UK: Shortly before the release date, stock copies of the cd edition of the album were sent to radio with plugger and artist information stickers on them. Earlier, two different promotional cassettes were distributed for promotion, one with the full songs, and one with one-minute snippets. Both have a generic Parlophone inlay card with titles. "Now My Heart Is Full" was included in March 94 on a Parlophone various artists radio promo cd titled "Girls And Boys" (VERY2).

Canada: "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" was included on a various artists sampler titled "Discoveries 8" and on volume 202 of Warner's various artists radio samplers (PROC94202). The single edit of "Now My Heart Is Full" was included on volume 217 (August 1994) of Warner's various artists radio samplers (PROC94217).

Germany: The cd edition of the album was sent around for promotion with a 'Compact Info' press sheet.

Japan: Promo cds have promo stickers on the case and promo-only information etched on the cd's inner ring.

Korea: Promo cds are marked 'SAMPLE' on the back.

Philippines: A promo 7" was produced with the same song on both sides, probably to promote this album.

USA: An advance edition of the album (Sire/Reprise 2-45451-A) was limitedly distributed without front artwork and generic white back artwork with song titles. Shortly before the album's release date, gold stamp copies of the stock edition were mailed around for wider promotion. "Now My Heart Is Full: An Introspective 1984-1994", a compilation covering Morrissey's career with the Smiths as well as solo, was distributed in the USA in April 1994 to promote this album. Tracks on this promo-only compilation were "Now My Heart Is Full", "Suedehead", "Everyday Is Like Sunday", "Interesting Drug", "Such A Little Thing Makes Such a Big Difference", "Sing Your Life", "We'll Let You Know", "How Soon Is Now?", "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out", "Ask", "Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself" and "Now My Heart Is Full" (Sire/Reprise PRO-CD-6778; view in left bar). A one-track cd of "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" was sent to radio to promote the single of that title as well as this album, around the time of the release of the former (Sire/Reprise, PRO-CD-6624, no front artwork to display). The above was occasionally paired with a 4-page press kit including a 8x10 photo of Morrissey. A second one-track cd was sent to radio in June 1994 for promotion of this album, this time with "Billy Budd" (Sire/Reprise, PRO-CD-6966, no front artwork to display). The latter song was also included on a various artists label sampler titled "The Album Network's Virtually Alternative 46". "MTV'S Year In Rock" various artists video compilation includes Morrissey footage from 1994. For more, see album's singles "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" and "Now My Heart Is Full".
