Additional information:
The version of "I'd Love To" on the USA cd-single has slight production differences with the version on the EMI/Parlophone releases.

The UK 12" is numbered and included a folded poster inside. A poster was also included in the French CD-single.

Promotion:
UK: A specially pressed promo with alternate artwork (view in left frame) was sent to radios. It was produced in two formats: 2-track 7" (RDJ6372) and 3-track cd (CDRDJ6372). The cds inside the sleeve were sometimes the regular orange label promo ones, and sometimes mispressed ones with 7"-style "45 RPM" graphics on the label. A one-track promo cd also numbered CDRDJ6372 was produced for promotional purposes. Some radio stations and record stores received the orange promo cd inside the regular artwork with plugger and artist information stickers on the cd case. One-track promotional videos of the title track were also produced. "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" was also included on a various artists radio sampler cd titled "EMI Virgin DJ Sampler Hit Disc 3" and another one titled "Very Parlophone" (CDVERY1).

Germany: The 3-track European edition (made in Holland) of the cd-single was distributed with a 'Compact Info' press sheet.

Philippines: Although there is no sign of this single having been released in this country, a promotional 7" has been pressed, perhaps for promotion of the "Vauxhall & I" album.

Sweden: UK cd-single were dispatched to radio with promo sticker on the back, in Swedish.

USA: A one-track cd (PRO-CD-6624; no front artwork) was sent to radios to promote this single and the upcoming "Vauxhall & I" album. The song was included on two various artists Warner samplers, one titled "Heck On Wheels" vol. 4 (PRO-CD-6807) intended for radio, and another one titled "Top Hits USA March 1994" (T-216) intended for instore play. A one-track promotional video of the title track was also distributed by Reprise. The video was included on the 06-30-1994 Warner/Reprise various artists promo compilation, a different one numbered #209-94, an issue of the ETV various artists promo video series (NL204) and two different various artists video compilations intended for instore/retail, one untitled and one titled "Hot Hits May 1994".
