Australia: The album was promoted by a 4-track 12" (EMI Australia RP213) of b-sides that didn't make the cut. The tracks are "Girl Least Likely To", "Michael's Bones", "Sister I'm A Poet" and "I Know Very Well How I Got My Name". View artwork in left bar.

Brazil: Copies of the LP were distributed for promotion with a promo sticker on the back.

Japan: Promos cds have a red and white promo sticker on the back and 'sample not for sale' etched around the cd's inner ring.

USA: "Piccadilly Palare" was included on volume V of Warner's "Follow Our Trax" various artists promo/sampler series. This one was distributed on LP (PRO-A-4557), cassette (PRO-C-4557) and compact disc (PRO-CD-4557).

Quotes:
In an interview to Len Brown published in the November 1990 issue of Vox, Morrissey said: "People will view [Bona Drag] suspiciously in England but not in the rest of the world where all those funny little singles were never released. It was initially for the rest of the world, but EMI were determined to release it here [in the UK]."
