A remix 12" of the title track called "November The 2nd" was test-pressed, but never released. At the time of release of the "Suedehead - Best Of Morrissey" compilation album, it was announced that a limited edition of the album would include a bonus disc featuring this remix amongst other rarities, but these plans were also scrapped. The remix is therefore only physically available on this very limited test pressing. However fans will be happy to know that a digital file of the remix has leaked onto the internet.

Promotion:
UK: This single was promoted by the sixth in a series of promo 12"s (EMI 12POPDJ1623; view in left frame) of different colours for Morrissey's first six singles. This one is slipped inside a brown sleeve. Copies of the stock 7" were also sent to radio with a plugger sticker on them. A one-track promo video was distributed inside a EMI box.
Brazil: The title track was included on a various artists promo EP numbered 9951221 in 1990 despite this song not having been released as a single in this country. It is not impossible that the EP served to promote the "Bona Drag" album.
Germany: The title track was included on a various artists radio promo titled "Hot Shots Nr 2" (CDP519006).
Italy: Pin-stamped copies of the 7" were used for promotion.
Japan: Promo cds have a red and white promo sticker on them and 'SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE' is etched on the cd's inner ring. "November Spawned A Monster" and "Ouija Board, Ouija Board" were included on a EMI various artists radio promo cd (SPCD-1120).
USA: Gold-stamped copies of the 12" and one-track Warner promo videos dated 5/2/90 were the main means of promotion of this single. The video for the title track was also included on a various artists Warner compilation dated 19-7-90 (C28729) as well as on issue 87a of the Telegenics various artists promo video series, the June 1990 issue of the Rockamerica promo videos series and a promo compilation video intended for club play titled "Video Link Reel 130 June 1990".
